Written for Morning Worship at Knollwood Baptist Church, October 14, 2012.
In this time of offering,
May we give up our pride.
May we sacrifice certainty.
May we set aside preconceptions.
May we offer up our egos.
May we resign our cynicism.
May we quiet our endless thinking and talking of You.
May we be humbled to participate in Your Kingdom.
Of our gifts and talents,
May we offer time.
May we offer community.
May we offer peace.
May we offer hope.
May we offer passion.
May we offer comfort in the darkness.
May we offer a tithe of praise,
that we may be come the hands, the feet, the eyes, the ears,
and the embodiment of your love.
Bless these tithes and offerings as we bring them to you.
In Your Holy Name,
