The Farmer’s Daughter

As she danced off into the night.
Her large frame moved awkwardly, and she often bumped into other dancers,
but she laughed a deep loud laugh from the heart,
and kept on dancing.
I heard her say above the music
as she pointed to herself,
Big Bones!
And I smiled a deep contented smile,
for I knew she’d found a truth worth having.
